Creating a secure URL for your site with an SSL Certificate
By default, the only section of your site that has a secure URL (https://) is the checkout page(s) for transactions. If you want to secure the entire site, this can be done via the purchase and implementation of a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate, which allows for encrypted communication between a web server and web browser. Basically, an SSL Certificate creates a "private conversation" between your users' browsers and the OmniMagnet servers. You can see the effects of this in the URL, where the http:// will be changed to https:// (the "s" stands for secure) and a padlock icon will be added on most browsers.
To setup your site with an SSL Certificate, two main steps need to happen:
1. The certificate itself needs to be purchased. You can do this yourself, or have us do it for you.
a) You can purchase certificates from most domain providers (like GoDaddy for example) and the price can vary (though it's normally under $100 anually). The certifcate type you are looking for is a Domain Verification (DV) Certificate.
b) If you want us to purchase the certifcate, it's $69.99 anually. Note that we don't make a profit on this, we only charge for the cost of the certificate's purchase. We will also need some specific info in order to make the purchase (answers need to be exact here):

2. The certificate needs to be implemented and maintained. The cost of this is $300.00 anually, regardless of whether you purchase the certificate or we purchase it for you.
Once the certificate is purchased and implemented, you will have a fully secure URL for your entire domain.
