Social Networking Widgets for your Articles

If you'd like to create buttons to allow your site visitors to easily share your events, news articles, job postings, member benefits, etc. via their Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter accounts--or comment via FaceBook--here is how to do it . . . .

It has become the unwritten law of the web that websites need readers. If you have a website, and you want to keep your readers coming back for more, you need to make it easy for them to share what they see on your site. Linking your site's articles to your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and/or Flickr accounts is one way to do that. This also enables you to increase your promotional reach for events, etc. by leveraging the reach of these social media services.

It's simple to do this with your Magnet-based event articles, news articles, job posting articles, member benefits articles, etc.

Just add the following text to your article to add a link to Facebook:

[[[fb_share]]]

Just add the following text to your article to "like" something on Facebook:

[[[fb_like]]]

If you're adding a Twitter link,

[[[twitter_share]]]

If you're adding a google+1 link,

[[[google+1]]]

If you would like to add a photo slideshow from Flickr, see this article for details.

If you would like to add a video from Vimeo, see this article for details.

And if you're adding a link to your LinkedIn account,

[[[linkedin_share]]]

This will automatically create both the link and show a small thumbnail image of the Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn logo that people can click on to post your event or news article to their Facebook or Twitter account.

So for instance, if you want to have a section at the bottom of your article where it has both links, you might do this:

[[[fb_share]]] [[[twitter_share]]] [[[linkedin_share]]]

Remember, the text goes directly into the article's Main Text field. if you want to format it--make the text bold, etc.--or put a box around it, you can do that, too.

Finally, if you'd like to add a Facebook comment, just add the following text to your article:

[[[fb_comment]]]
